Running a sale on an offering

Discount an offering by a percentage or a fixed amount for a set time, with the original price struck through on your booking page.

Last updated

A sale takes money off every option of an offering for as long as you choose, without clients needing a code. Clients see the original price struck through next to the sale price, and bookings, commission and invoices use the sale price.

Setting up a sale

  1. 1

    Open the Sale card

Open the offering and go to Pricing & options. Find the Sale card.
  2. 2

    Choose the discount

Under Discount, pick Percentage off or Fixed amount off, then enter the Percent off or the Amount off (Rands). A fixed discount never takes a price below R0.
  3. 3

    Pick the dates

Set when it Starts and Ends. Leave Starts blank to start as soon as you save, and Ends blank to run until you turn it off. Dates are in your business timezone.
  4. 4

    Add a label

Optionally type a Label of up to 40 characters, such as "Spring special". It is shown on the sale pill. The card shows a preview of each option at its sale price.
  5. 5

    Save

Save with the bar at the bottom of the page.

What clients see

While the sale is running, your booking page shows the original price struck through, the sale price, and a pill such as "Spring special: 20% off". Before the start date and after the end date, the offering shows its normal price.

Each booking keeps the price it was made at, so ending a sale never changes bookings already made.

Ending a sale

To stop a sale early, set Discount to No sale and save.

Sales and coupons together

A coupon does not apply to an offering on sale unless the coupon has Can be combined with sales switched on. Then the coupon comes off the sale price. See Coupon codes.
