Selling a package

Sell a session package to a client yourself, or let clients buy it on your booking page and pay online. What the client receives after buying.

Last updated

There are two ways a client gets a package: you sell it to them, for example after they paid you in person, or they buy it on your booking page and pay online. Either way they receive an email with their own package link, which they use to book their sessions.

Selling a package yourself

  1. 1

    Open the package

Go to Packages and open the package. It must be active.
  2. 2

    Click Sell package

Choose Existing client and pick them from your client list, or New client and enter their first name, email and, optionally, last name and phone. A new client with an email that is already in your list is matched to that client.
  3. 3

    Confirm the sale

Check the summary and click the Sell to button, which shows the client's name. The sale is recorded as paid outside Booklink, for the package price.

The package is active straight away and its expiry counts from today. The client is emailed their package link with a Book a session button. If you use the Rebill integration, the sale can be invoiced automatically.

Clients buying online

When at least one package is on your booking page, the page gets Services and Packages tabs. On the Packages tab, each package shows its price, the number of sessions, the price per session, how long it is valid and a Buy button. The client enters their name, email and phone, accepts the offering's booking terms if it has any, and pays with your payment gateway.

The purchase shows as Pending payment on the Sold tab until the gateway confirms it. Once it does, the package becomes active, its expiry starts and the client is emailed their package link with the amount paid. A purchase that is not paid within 60 minutes is cancelled.

A payment that arrives too late

If a client's payment comes through after their unpaid purchase was cancelled, the package is not activated. You get an email so you can sort it out with the client, for example by selling them the package yourself.

The Sold tab

Each sale shows the Client, the date it was Sold, Sessions used (for example "3 of 10 used"), when it Expires, its Status (Active, Pending payment or Cancelled, plus Expired), the amount Paid and the Source: Sold by you or Online.

The menu on each row has:

  • Adjust sessions: change the total number of sessions, for example to add a free one. It cannot go below the number already used.
  • Resend link email: emails the client their package link again.
  • Copy booking link: copies the client's package link so you can send it yourself.
  • Cancel package: stops any more bookings from this package. Bookings already made stay. Any refund is up to you, outside Booklink.
