Your booking page can look and work in different ways. A layout decides how clients move through booking, and a theme decides the colours, type and texture. Every account starts on the Free layout and theme. The Showcase, Quick book and Concierge layouts and the eight Pro themes are part of the Pro plan. On the free plan you can try all of them in the preview before you upgrade.
Where to find it
Open Branding in the sidebar and scroll to the Page look card. Pick a card under Layout and a tile under Theme. With a Pro theme, a live preview of your real booking page sits beside the pickers on a wide screen (below them on a smaller one) and updates as you edit, before you save. The Preview button at the top of the page opens the same preview in a panel.
You can also type "layout" or "theme" into Find anything at the top of the sidebar (Ctrl+K, or Cmd+K on a Mac) to jump straight there.
The layouts
- Free: the original Booklink booking page, one step after another. It is the only layout on the free plan and works with the Free theme only.
- Showcase (Pro): a profile page for your business, with photos, your services, your team, reviews, opening hours and where to find you. Booking opens over the page in a drawer.
- Quick book (Pro): the booking flow on one page, with a brand rail beside it on a wide screen. The rail shows your logo, name and tagline, short reassurances such as Instant confirmation or Free cancellation up to 24 hours before, your address with directions, your phone and a WhatsApp button, and a live summary of the booking. On a phone the rail becomes a compact header.
- Concierge (Pro): one question per screen, such as "What are you coming in for?" and "When suits you?", with a live booking summary shaped like a ticket beside the flow. Once booked, the client gets a stamped ticket.
The steps themselves (service, team member, time, details, payment) are the same on every layout. Your address, phone and email only show where you have switched them on under Contact details.
The themes
Each Pro theme sets the background, cards, fonts and texture of your page:
- Editorial: ivory and ink with hairline rules and a large serif, made for good photos.
- Mono: white, black, one bold sans serif and square corners.
- Noir: dark charcoal and champagne, for evening businesses.
- Botanic: sage and sand, rounded and friendly.
- Clinic: cool white and slate with crisp type and bordered cards.
- Paper: warm paper and letterpress ink with italic accents and grain.
- Marquee: espresso black with a copper glow. On Showcase it turns on the ticker section.
- Title Card: cinematic photography, film grain and very large type. Showcase only.
Not every pair works together. The Free theme only goes with the Free layout, the Pro themes need a Pro layout, and Title Card needs Showcase. A theme that cannot be used with the layout you picked is greyed out with a note that says why.
Accent colour and surface
With a Pro theme you choose an Accent colour, used for buttons and highlights, and a Surface: a lighter or deeper background for the theme. Most themes have two surfaces and Title Card has three. If you have not picked an accent colour, each theme uses its own.
If your accent colour is hard to read on the theme you chose, Branding tells you. Your page then adjusts text in that colour so it stays readable and keeps your exact colour on buttons.
Photos
Showcase and Concierge can show your own photos. The Photos group appears in the Page look card when you pick one of them:
- Showcase shows up to 5 photos. The first is your hero photo at the top of the page; use Hero on another photo to change it. The rest appear in the gallery.
- Concierge shows one photo, above your name on the first step.
- Quick book and Free do not show photos.
Photos can be PNG, JPEG or WebP, up to 2 MB each, and they save as soon as you add them, like your logo. Switching layout never deletes a photo: photos a layout does not show are kept for later. Adding photos needs Pro. Without a photo, Showcase and Concierge paint a generated design in your theme's colours instead.
Showcase sections
When Showcase is picked, three more groups appear in the Page look card.
Sections turns parts of the page on and off. A section with nothing in it stays hidden, even when it is on.
- Team: your team, with a button to book each person. It only shows when your team display mode is Visible.
- Gallery: your photos in a grid.
- Kind words: quotes from your clients.
- Opening hours: your week, worked out from the working hours of your active team members.
- Find us: your address, contact details and highlights.
- Ticker: a slow line with your opening time and reassurances under the top bar. It is off until you turn it on, except on the Marquee theme.
Highlights are short lines clients should know, like "Free parking" or "Card and EFT". Add up to 6, each up to 40 characters. They show in Find us.
Kind words are quotes you type in from your clients. Add up to 6 with Add testimonial, each with a Name, a Quote of up to 280 characters and, if you like, the Service it was about. Only add real quotes from real clients.
How clients book on Showcase
On Showcase, your page is the profile and the booking opens over it. When a client taps Book now, picks a service or uses Book with on a team member's card, the booking opens in a drawer: a panel on the right on a computer, a sheet from the bottom on a phone. If they close it, their choices are kept, so they can carry on where they left off. On a phone, a bar at the foot of the page shows your starting price (for example "From R220") and a Book now button.
A service booking link opens the drawer straight on that service. When your booking page is embedded on your website, Showcase shows the booking flow on its own, since your website already is the profile.
Trying it on the free plan
On the free plan the Pro layouts and themes carry a Pro badge. You can still pick any of them, try colours, sections, highlights and quotes, and watch the preview. Nothing changes on your public page until you upgrade: the card shows Upgrade to keep this, and adding photos needs Pro.
Saving your look
Click Save in the bar at the bottom of the page (or press Ctrl+S, or Cmd+S on a Mac). The preview shows your changes straight away, but a new layout or theme can take up to about a minute to show on your public booking link, because the page is cached for a short while. Refresh your booking page after a minute to see it.
If your Pro plan ends
Your public booking page goes back to the Free layout and theme. Photos stay stored, and you can still remove them.Match the layout to how clients find you
If most clients arrive knowing what they want, Quick book gets them booked fastest. If they are still deciding, Showcase lets your photos, team and kind words do the convincing. Concierge suits businesses that want each step to feel personal.
